Recently, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism launched 143 national boutique rural tourism routes themed“Beautiful Rural Scenery in Four Seasons”for 2023.
The “Mysterious Xiangxi Rural Tour” in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture was selected among them.
When traveling along this tour route, tourists can visit characteristic rural museums, and traditional ancient villages, experience Tujia and Miao cultures, explore the world cultural heritage—the 800-year-old Laosicheng, stay in characteristic homestay inns, sleep under the starry sky, watch the sunrise and sunset, and enjoy a unique and comfortable summer time.
The itinerary includes: Fenghuang Ancient Town → Fenghuang Zhushan Village → Fenghuang Shanjiang Miao Museum → Aizhai-Shibadong-Dehang Grand Canyon Scenic Area → Traditional Ancient Villages in Baojing County → Longshan Liye Ancient Town (Qin Jian) Museum → Baimian Mountain in Longshan County → Rebala Scenic Area in Longshan County→ Laosicheng World Cultural Heritage Site in Yongshun County → Furong Town in Yongshun County. The best time to travel is from June to August.
